Blame it on the stars

***Don't forget to get your best Fall inspired posts ready for the Free FALLin' link up next week!! Link up goes live Monday August 22nd.***

When I was in High School I was a wee bit obsessed with Astrology. I blame TEEN and YM and all their damn articles about "your sign", but that is neither here nor there. I had books, magazines, and even those little scroll things that you get in the checkout line.
Over the years my obsession with Astrology has fallen by the waist side.
I can't even tell you the last time I checked my horoscope.
But one thing I always know...
When Mercury is in Retrograde

For those of you not up on the astrology, I'll give you the cliff notes:

About 3-4 times a year, Mercury slows down in it's orbit and appears to almost move backwards. In astrology terms, since Mercury is the ruler of communication, things tend to go a bit haywire when Mercury is in retrograde.

While I might not always outwardly know that there is a retrograde going on, inevitably, I will hear about it and a light bulb will go off in my head.

Such light bulb went off last week.

Things seemed off.

-Mistakes at work were unusually high. There was a lot of, "I thought I ordered..." and "Oh this isn't what I thought it was".
-People all around seemed generally more confused than normal.
-Spam email and tweets were at an all time high.
-People are driving like chumcicles. (That's for you @AmandaAustin!) More than ever. I realize that this maybe has nothing to do with the retrograde, but it's been much more noticeable these past few weeks.
-Even my husband and I just couldn't seem to get on the same page all week. (Did you get the milk? No, I thought you did)

Mercury is in retrograde until August 26th.
I'm halting all important communication until then.

Are you feeling a little out of sorts these days??
