You must be 21 or older to view this post...

I'm not even going to lie...Mom Friendly Meals Monday almost got skipped this week. I am in the midst of getting everything together for Jackson's big 1st Birthday party and didn't know if I'd have the time to dig up a recipe. Then my friend Dana came along with inspiration in a BIG WAY!
I guess you wouldn't really call this post's topic a meal, nonetheless, at the end of a long crazy hectic day, sometimes you just want to order a pizza, put the kids to bed and relax with a cocktail.

Enter Dana's inspiration...Pumpkin Spice Martini's

I myself am a big fan of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, so this seems to be a no brainer for me. You can go to Dana's Blog and get a recipe for your very own homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte and read her notes on a Pumpkin Spice Martini recipe that she tried to concoct.

Just added to my to-do's this week...make these. NOW.

You can google Pumpkin Spice Martini and find your own variation out there. Some call for Hiram Walkers Pumpkin Spice Liqueur, some don't.(If you are looking for it, so to their website and plug in your zip code!) See which one works best for you and give it a whirl. Since I still have some Kahlua left over from another party, I'll be using this one!

Pumpkin Spice Martini's

1 part Hiram Walker Pumpkin Spice

½ part Kahl├╣a Coffee Liqueur
½ part Hiram Walker® Butterscotch Schnapps
½ part Half & Half

Combine ingredients in shaker w/ ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into martini glass. Garnish and serve.

And if you really want to kick it up a notch crush some graham crackers up, dip the rim of your martini glass in a little honey, and then the crushed crackers! YUMM!

This seems to be a good time to share my recipe for a "Creamy Johnson", created back in those college days.

I apologize, I didn't measure back then, either.

Take a blender, put a few scoops of vanilla ice cream in it, then add Amaretto, Kahlua, and Irish Cream (depending on flavor, as much or as little as you'd like). Hit blend, and then soak up the deliciousness of THAT milkshake!
