Fill in the Blanks Friday

I lothe Black Friday. Mostly because up until last year it was the most dreaded day of the year for me. Most people think of Black Friday as a day of deals and bargain shopping but to me it is utter chaos. People turn into savages just to save a few bucks. And as someone that use to work in the retail industry, I promise you that most of the deals on Black Friday are not worth getting up at 2am, standing in line for 3 hours, or risking bodily harm for. It's all such a desperate marketing ploy by retailers and it's hilarious how people just eat it up!

***I promise I'm not this pessimistic about all shopping. I'm just a little jaded about this day. I have some real horror stories!!***

1. Black Friday is Retail Hell. I worked retail for a long time so I tend to stay away from the craziness. It's not worth the few bucks I may save. .

2. Christmas shopping this year will probably be last minute. I have no idea what to get anyone.

3. Holiday shopping makes me happy. I love shopping...even when it's for someone else! .

4. This year my Christmas list will include... I have no idea. Sure there are lots of things I want-maid service anyone??-but there is nothing I really need. Target gift cards are always appreciated though!.

5. Bargain hunter, or full price shopper? A little of both. I'll use a coupon or check ads to see who has the best price but I'm not all crazy about it.

6. The best and worst things about shopping me I love the feeling of finding the perfect gift. One you know the person is going to love. That said I hate crowds and the super crazy people that come out this time of year. And parking is always a nightmare.

7. Online shopper or in-person shopper? Because I'm not a fan of crowds I usually look for online deals first and then finish up any last minute shopping at the stores.

I've never participated in black Friday until today and it was only because we had made a decision to get a deep freezer and Home Depot had the best price. A guy forced me to flatten myself against a wall as he turned abruptly to run for the $1.00 Poinsettia's. That was my only brush with a crazy shopper. Thankfully I wasn't holding my 4 month old or I might have had to trip him.
