This blogging vacation has been a nice little break. Tuesday was my little boy's 1st Birthday and I wanted to stay as unplugged as possible so I could really soak up the day! It turned out to be a warm and beautiful day, so we went into the city and to the Shedd Aquarium. It was a good thing it was a free day there though, because Jackson wasn't really feeling it! Later that night we went home and had cake and let him open a few presents. The cake thing scared him, and he didn't tear into it like I thought he would which made clean-up a lot easier! We'll see how it goes Saturday, when we are having a small party with friends and family!
I love Fill in Friday's. It's a great, quick post and I love to read the other bloggers that link up!
Join in the fun with us over at the little things we do!
The most spontaneous thing I've ever done was- I guess I would have to say moving in with my husband when we were dating. We had only been dating for a few months and I still didn't know a ton about him, but it just felt right.
The best gift I've ever received was of course my baby boy was the best gift ever. But if I am talking about a wrapped up and bought at the store kind of gift, it would have to be the gift I got for Mother's day this year. I'm not a big jewelry person, but I have always loved those antique-y looking rings with the chocolate diamonds (chocolate & diamonds- how could a girl NOT love these!)and other gems. Kev totally surprised me by getting me beautiful one and I love it!
A time that I was truly and genuinely surprised see above. I could say when Kev proposed, which kind of was a surprise, but we were dating for so long I had a feeling it was coming. Also, when I was 16 some friends threw me a little surprise party and totally surprised the heck out of me.
I can't leave the house without my phone.
My favorite day of the week is having a job where your schedule is all over the place makes it hard to have a "fav" but honestly lately my favorite day is Monday. I usually have off and if Kevin works I curl up in bed after Jack goes to sleep and watch Gossip Girl and my other shows. If he is home we watch Monday Night Football. Before we had Jack we used to go out for Monday Night Football all the time, so Monday's hold a soft spot for me!
Something that can always make me laugh is when Jack giggles. Best. Sound. Ever.
My perfect day would include sleeping in, a lazy day with my boys, and then maybe finding a babysitter so Kev and I could have a nice dinner out and then meet up with some friends for drinks.
